What are TED Talks? A TED talk is a public speaking event that has been videotaped and was first presented at the main TED (technology, entertainment, and design) yearly event or one of the many TED-sanctioned satellite events that take place all over the world. TED is a nonprofit organization that promotes ideas through brief, impactful speeches that are frequently referred to as "TED talks." On the TED website, TED presentations are made available under a Creative Commons free license. Additionally, they are regularly highlighted on social media and multimedia websites like LinkedIn, YouTube, Netflix, and Facebook. TED presentations can be on any subject and have a maximum runtime of 18 minutes. Potential presenters must first complete a speaker nomination form in order to be considered to speak at a TED presentation. If TED is interested in having them speak, they will then get in touch with them.

In February 1984, Harry Marks and Richard Saul Wurman jointly launched the TED organization and the TED conference. Since 1990, TED conferences have been conducted annually. The first one took place in 1984. The TED conferences' initial emphasis was on technology, design, and entertainment. However, TED has recently widened its scope to cover big ideas on a wider range of subjects, including business, global concerns, education, and health. Actors, scientists, doctors, and influencers are just a few of the professionals from a wide range of academic disciplines who have presented at TED. Al Gore, Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Bono, Jane Goodall, Malcolm Gladwell, Gordon Brown, Richard Dawkins, Mike Rowe, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, and Vint Cerf are just a few of the famous people who have Delivered Ted Talks over the years. This is a small introduction to what a TED Talk is. Now that I have introduced what a TED Talk is, the question that now pops into the mind of those reading this must be:How is it different from TEDx?

According to TED, "TEDx events are planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis, under a free license from TED". In other words, the community sponsoring each TEDx event organizes the presentation, but TED owns and creates the presentation's overarching structure. This guarantees accurate, top-notch content and offers a tailored approach to the problems or successes of that group. Basically, each TEDx event offers a local speaker a stage to share their ideas with their neighborhood and, through TED's online presence, the rest of the globe. Now let's look at my top 5 TEDx talks.
