Sonesta Commercial Actress: Sonesta says that the “Famous Yet Nameless” campaign was made to “drive awareness and reframe the brand to consumers as it continues to grow and evolve rapidly.”

Sonesta International Hotels Corp. wants more people to know about their brand, so they chose actress Judy Greer to be the face of their new ad campaign.

As part of the first part of the campaign, Greer plays herself in a video ad that compares her long career and memorable roles to Sonesta. The idea was made in collaboration with RO New York, a branding agency.

Sonesta says that in the campaign’s next phase, travel and lifestyle influencers will be used to share curated content and help the company “reach a newer audience.”

Sonesta has added two new brands to its lineup at the same time: Sonesta Essential and The James, a Sonesta Lifestyle.

Sonesta Essential is marketed as a concept that will “attract the traveller who just wants to get the essentials done right,” which includes a comfortable bed and a clean room, among other things.

The James, on the other hand, is an addition to the brand of The James Hotels. In April of last year, Sonesta bought the rights to The James. Denihan Hospitality came up with the idea for the James Hotels, which are currently only in New York City.

Sonesta said it wants to expand The James to attract “the modernist lifestyle traveller.”

Sonesta has grown a lot in the past few years by taking over more than 200 former IHG and Marriott International properties and buying Red Lion Hotels Corp. in 2020.
