House of the Dragon Episode 8: The eighth Episode of House of the Dragon, the massive and time-consuming prequel to the massively popular fantasy drama series Game of Thrones, will air on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at 9 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max.
The much-anticipated prologue was adapted from the bestselling novel Fire & Blood by George R. R. Martin and tells the story of the rise and fall of the House of Targaryen, the last line of dragonlords to survive the Doom of Valyria.
Almost two centuries precede the events of Game of Thrones in this epic tale.

The series’ progenitor, Ryan Condal, and its namesake, George R. R. Martin, is responsible for the prequel’s production.
The outstanding cinematography of the series comes courtesy of Pepe Avila del Pino, Fabian Wagner, and Alejandro Martnez, and the music of the fantasy drama prequel series comes courtesy of Ramin Djawadi.
Rhaenyra and Daemon secretly married in the Old Valyrian ritual to continue the pure Targaryen bloodline, and the seventh episode of the prequel series, named Driftmark, concluded on a thrilling note.
After pretending to die, Laenor and Ser Qarl escaped Driftmark in this episode.

The Lord of the Tides is the title for episode 8. There has been no news yet on who will be the episode’s director or writer.
There will be ten episodes in the first season of the prequel; therefore, once the eighth episode premieres, only two more episodes will remain to be released. Accordingly, we are in the final act of the series.
Sets from all over are slated to gather on King’s Landing in Episode 8 of the Game of Thrones prequel to settle the question of who will succeed Driftmark.
The Lord of the Tides will also feature the show’s (likely) final large-time jump. At some point in the future, Rhaenyra, Alicent, and Daemon’s offspring will all be considered legal adults.
