Four million hearts melt as Wild Mustang reunites with the one Horse he has ever loved.
For as long as anybody can remember, Goliath and Red Lady were in love and had a large family until being forced to split ways during a roundup.

The American Mustang has long been admired as a symbol of wildness and independence. The sight of these untamed horses rushing over wide-open landscapes is just amazing.

Family is the most important thing to Mustangs, who are recognised for their tight-knit herd mentality.

Their ties are essential to their survival as well as providing emotional support.

These stallions may risk their lives to be gentle with their young and fiercely protective of their mothers.

There is a legend about one of these wild horses with the name of Goliath.

Goliath, 25, was from Salt Wells Creek, Wyoming, and he had seen a lot of mares. Red Lady, his lead mare and the passion of his life, was the one thing that never changed.

The several photos where Red Lady, who was often anticipating Goliath’s offspring, could be seen grazing or rehydrating at their preferred watering place demonstrated their close relationship.

Their story was one of a happy, close-knit wild horse family.

But there was a cloud over their perfect existence.

After deciding to make way for cattle, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) collected close to 2,000 wild horses.

They pursued these magnificent beasts into traps with the help of helicopters. Horses must gallop miles during these exhausting roundups, which often result in injuries or even fatalities.

With their freedom permanently taken away, the imprisoned Mustangs faced a bleak future.

These roundups left heartbreaking repercussions.

Families were split apart. Mares and foals were separated from their mothers, and stallions from mares. Many people saw their loved ones for the very final time.

These once-free-spirited animals had become depressed and were now kept in steel corrals.

After news of Goliath’s capture reached Skydog Sanctuary, his narrative took a different path.

After years of freedom, this famous stallion was finally gelded and branded at a BLM site.

Goliath was separated from his family and faced a life of imprisonment amid hundreds other horses. However, Skydog had other ideas.

Their goal was to restore Goliath’s liberty and, if it was feasible, bring him back to his family.

The reaction to Skydog’s Goliath fundraising was very positive.

His tale touched others, and they wanted to provide a hand. After then, a miracle took place.

Reuniting Red Lady and her adoptive mother from Colorado was the goal of the lady.

Red Lady, who seemed to be aware of the better times coming, was shortly travelling to Skydog’s 9,000-acre refuge in Oregon.

Skydog finally succeeded in bringing Goliath to their shelter, much to their delight. With a victorious snort, he galloped up the slope as soon as he got out of the caravan.

Then came the time that everyone had been looking forward to. Red Lady walked outside, and Goliath charged her upon detecting her presence.

The reunion was enchanted.

Sensing Red Lady was expecting a child, Goliath acknowledged their final foal before parting ways with her by touching her swollen tummy.

Red Lady gave birth to their last foal, a symbol of love and perseverance, a month later.

Born before to their painful divorce, this colt flourished in the nurturing arms of his adoptive parents.

It is an honour we must treasure to see these wild horses, feeling the ground under their hoof.

It’s important to understand that there exists a world of beauty and soul that coexists peacefully with nature someplace outside of our busy metropolis.

The story of Goliath and Red Lady is a moving reminder of the relationships that these animals have and how crucial it is to maintain their independence.

Our imaginations fly along with the last Mustangs as they gallop unfettered, and for a little instant, our souls too experience freedom.

Watch the lovely scene below to witness Goliath’s reunion with his Red Lady and their unborn foal!
