Creative production company iam8bit has recently shared that it is partnering with Atlus to turn the soundtracks of the Persona Dancing series into vinyl records. These vinyls will feature specific soundtracks from the three Persona Dancing video games, & fans can purchase them as single records or as a whole collection.
With Persona 5 Royal Remastered just launched for more gaming platforms last October 2022, it is not surprising for Atlus to keep its marketing efforts up. The video game publisher has yet to reveal current news about an addition to the Persona series, & it seems the company is filling up the empty space with partnerships & collaborations all over the globe. The most recent efforts included a Persona 5-themed snack box, a collaboration with a series of stores in Japan called Village Vanguard, & now, a new vinyl collection featuring music from Persona 3, 4, & 5.
On its official Twitter account, iam8bit announced that preorders for the Persona Dancing Vinyl Collection open December 8, 2022. The collection features three records, one each for the music of Persona 3, 4, & 5. One vinyl costs $42.99 USD, but they can be purchased as a set, with a bundled price of $139.99. According to the website, every item will have at least 20 tracks each. Some of the soundtracks feature a couple of the game’s original music, others are long mixes, remixes, or records from the Persona live concerts held in Japan. Shipping of the pieces is also scheduled for Q3 2023.
This is not the first time that iam8bit has Advance out with a vinyl collection for the Persona series. The production company also previously released a vinyl soundtrack for Persona 5 Royal. However, given that there are many variations of the music found in Persona Dancing, it is not surprising for iam8bit cto Advance out with a new collection that features these soundtracks. What’s more, iam8bit took inspiration from each game’s iconic color scheme & incorporated them into the packaging of each record.
For Persona Dancing fans who love to listen to music, these records from iam8bit are likely a great addition to any physical vinyl collection. Not only will fans get to listen to the Incredible soundtrack from Persona 3, 4, or 5, they also have something to show off to fellow members of each game’s community. Hopefully iam8bit will continue collaborating with Atlus, & that more vinyl collections will be produced for other video games under the company’s roster.
