Atif Aslam (Life, Career and Controversies)

Muhammad Atif Aslam or Atif Aslam or Aadee is a Famous Pakistani Playback singer. Atif gave many chart buster both in Pakistan and India. Atif is a Singer, Composer, Song writer and Actor. In 2008, Atif received 4th highest Civilian award of Pakistan Tamga-E-Imtiaz. He calls his fans as AAdeez.

Early Life:

Atif was born in 12th March, 1983 in Wazirabad, Punjab, Pakistan in a Punjabi Muslim family. His father name is Muhammad Aslam and mother name is Rehana Shaheen. He has three brothers Shahbaz, Shahzad, Sheraz and a sister Romana. Atif’s father wanted that his son would become a doctor. Atif had chosen computer line and done Bachelor in computer science. Atif’s first ambition was to become a cricketer. Atif played in Under-19 Pakistan Cricket Team as a Pace Bowler.

Atif was in love with his friend Sara Bharwana on his college time. The couple married in 2013 after seven years of relationship. They have a child called Ahad Atif Aslam.

Career:

Atif didn’t take any training in music. He always wanted to become a cricketer. He performed in many functions at college. His friends motivated him to start his singing career. Atif formed a band name “Jal” and released a song “Aadat” in 2003 with Musician Goher Mumtaz. Atif has told in many interviews that he had released this song with his pocket money at the age of 17. This song was become a youth anthem at that time.

Atif released his first album “Jal Pari” in 2005 and “Doorie” in 2006. Both of these albums have won the 4th and 6th Lux awards for best album. He was called in Bollywood by Mahesh Bhatt for the songs like “Who Lamhey” for the movie “Zeher” in 2005 and “Aadat Remix” for “Kalyug”. Atif sang “Tere Bin” song for the movie “Bas Ek Pal”.

Atif and Pritam Duo gave Bollywood many hit songs like “Pehli Nazar Mein”, “Bakhuda Tumhi Ho”, “Tu Jaane Naa” and “Tera Hone Laga Hoon”. He got many awards and nominations for his song “Main Rang Sharbaton Ka” in 2013. Atif gave another big hit “Jeena Jeena” from Badlapur in 2015. In 2016 Atif’s song “Tere Sang Yaara” from movie Rustom had nominated for film fare award. His song “Dil Diyan Gallan” from movie “Tiger Zinda Hai” got 670 Million Views on Youtube as of 2021.

Due to Pulwama attacks in 2019, Atif Aslam was banned to sing in Bollywood. His pre-recorded songs were re-recorded by the different singers of Bollywood.

Atif has performed at many international platforms. Atif has performed with top artists of world like Enrique and Pitbull etc.

Atif’s songs were appeared in two Hollywood movies from “Doorie” and “Jal Pari” albums. Three songs from album “Jal Pari” were featured in the movie “Man Push Cart” In 2005. Two songs from album “Doorie” were featured in the movie “Spanish Beauty” in 2010.

Controversies:

Atif’s first album “Jal Pari” which he had released in 2005 had some copyright issues at that time.

In 2010, a fake news about his death went viral on internet.
