Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is one of the most loved movies of Shah Rukh Khan which also starred Kajol and Rani Mukerji in important roles and with this movie, Karan Johar made his debut as a director but do you know that it was not easy for KJo to sign an actor for the role of Aman in the movie.

Well, Salman Khan did that role and an old video of Koffee with Karan resurfaced some time back in which Karan and Salman were talking about the movie and that role. In the video, Salman claimed that even Saif Ali Khan and Chandrachur Singh who had no work at that time refused to do that role.

Karan Johar said this to Salman in the video, “I remember the first time I ever came to your zone to narrate my first film to you. Saif and Chandrachur had said no to the role. And you said that no one’s going to do your role, you come and meet me tomorrow.”

Then Salman said this as if he was making a complaint, “It was not difficult for you to get Shah Rukh Khan in the film but it was very difficult for you to get this casting (Aman) because Saif at that point of time was doing nothing. Chandrachur was doing nothing. Even they refused it. I did it, Karan. I saw talent, I saw genius in you. And after that you never worked with me.”

However, a Reddit user claimed that Chandrachur called Salman a liar in the comments section and when he was asked by an online user to tell why he is calling Salman a liar, Chandrachur said that at that time he had – Daag The Fire, Josh, Kya Kehna, Silsila Hai Pyaar Ka, etc. and he just made a choice.

The Reddit user also posted the screenshot of the comment but after some time, Chandrachur deleted his comment.
