Temba Bavuma Puts An End To Dharamshala Outfield Debate Ahead Of SA Vs NED

The beautiful stadium of Dharamshala is also one of the venues which are hosting matches of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 but some questions have been raised regarding the outfield as it is a little patchy.

Today (17 Oct), cricket teams of South  Africa and Netherlands will be playing against each other at Dharamshala and before the match, the Proteas skipper was also asked about the outfield and his response was quite positive.

Temba Bavuma stated, “The field is a bit patchy. We did our fielding practice last night. To be honest, it didn’t play as bad as it really looked. We have spoken about trying to be more cautious, maybe changing your diving technique. I don’t know how easy it is to do in the heat of the momentum. The guys just need to be a bit more cautious and attentive. Like I said, we fielded yesterday and it wasn’t too bad.”

Talking about the ground, Bavuma stated, “It’s one of the most beautiful grounds to play at around the world. In terms of what to expect tomorrow, we are not expecting rain, that’s what we were told. But I guess, we will see what happens, if it affects our combinations… Probably, not too much. Obviously, we will have a look at the wickets and that would be the biggest deciding factor.”

This area has received the first snowfall of the year which has increased its beauty as well. However, the match between South Africa and Netherlands has been delayed due to rain.
