The Indian cricket team will start its Asia Cup 2023 campaign from tomorrow with their first match against arch-rivals Pakistan at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Kandy, Sri Lanka.

There is no denying the fact that the senior players such as skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli need to perform well if the Indian team has to win the Asia Cup and ICC ODI World Cup 2023.

Rohit Sharma is certainly one of the best batters of the present times and he is the only batter to have three double centuries in ODIs to his name, all the other batters who have scored double centuries in their ODI career have scored only one double century.

It is quite difficult for Rohit Sharma to choose his favourite double century among the three but it won’t be difficult for his wife Ritika Sajdeh as the third double ton was a gift from Rohit to his wife on their marriage anniversary.

While speaking on ‘Open Nets with Mayank’ with his teammates Mayank Agarwal and Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma said, “As you can see my wife got emotional there, this day was special as it was my anniversary. Probably the best gift I could give it to her while I am on the field, it was quite emotional though”.

In regard to why his wife cried, Rohit said, “At first I had no idea she cried. When I came from the ground, I just asked her why did you (Ritika) cry? So she told me that she thought I (Rohit) twisted my hand when I dived for my 196^th run and that was a little worrying factor for her, she got little emotional of because of that I guess.”

Rohit Sharma scored his third double century (208 runs) in 2017 at Mohali in an ODI against Sri Lanka and India won that match by 141 runs.
