The TV serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been making headlines for some time now as the show recently completed 15 years and on this occasion, the producer of the show Asit Kumarr Modi promised the audiences that Disha Vakani will be back in the show.

However, now some more news is coming about the show and it is related to Shailesh Lodha, the poet-actor who used to play the character of Taarak Mehta in the show and has been replaced by Sachin Shroff. If you remember, Shailesh Lodha had filed a lawsuit against Asit Kumarr Modi in regard to the non-payment of dues and as per the recent reports, Shailesh has won that lawsuit.

After the producer didn’t make his payment of non-dues, Shailesh Lodha approached National Company Law Tribunal and now Asit Kumarr Modi will pay Shailesh Lodha an amount of Rs. 1.05 crore via demand draft.

After winning the lawsuit, Shailesh Lodha said, “This fight was never about the money. It was about seeking justice and self-respect. I feel like I have won a battle and I’m happy that the truth has prevailed.”

The actor also gave a hint that he was asked to sign some papers which would have placed some restrictions on him such as not talking to media, etc. He said, “I didn’t bow down to the arm-twisting. Why would I sign any papers to get my own money?”

Though Shailesh Lodha didn’t take the name yet he stated that after he filed the lawsuit, Asit Kumarr Modi called an actor and cleared his non-dues which were pending for more than three years.

Well, the makers still have to deal with some problems including the complaint filed by actress Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal who has accused the makers of sexual harassment.
