Christmas Gifts For Creative Writers

Just before Christmas, I had to share the last Gift guide for the year, gifts for Creative Writers. We are a few days shy of Christmas and after a week-long move from the UK to Italy, everything went overboard. But, that doesn’t mean that we can’t fit the last gift guide!

I wanted to keep the last something closer to my heart. Writing has been a part of me since before my blogging days. I have passed days since I was a kid writing stories, unfinished novels, fanfiction and even dipping my feet in poetry at one time. So to me writing in whichever form is second nature.

That’s why these gifts for creative writers are also on my gift list and who knows, maybe one day we will all get the perfect writing spot in our places!

TYPEWRITER STYLE KEYBOARD by ANDANDA SHOP – £184.99

If there’s something I have loved since I was a kid was typewriters. My grandparents had one at home and it was a huge hit for us, always passing by and dreaming of writing on it, so it might be high time to get one now that I have the space.

So when I saw this typewriter keyboard I was over the moon! They have a classic retro design and youc an connect them to your devices with Bluetooth and USB. You can use them with tablets, phones and computers. You can connect up to three devices and switch between them with shortcuts. The LED lights on the buttons help accuracy at night and the classic click sound of typewriters. An amazing gift for writers to feel like typing like in the past.

KINDLE UNLIMITED SUBSCRIPTION by AMAZON – £7.99

I honestly had never heard of Kindle Unlimited until I got a new Kindle for my birthday after the one I had finished its run because of water. Anyway, after finally getting a new waterproof reader (won’t do the same mistake twice!) I got a free subscription for four months and thought it was actually a great service.

So next up on the gifts for creative writers is a subscription to a service that let you discover new authors and books from a wide selection of genres and stories. What I love most about it is the chance to have a narration of books. Audible was not enough for me as it offers only one audiobook a month. Moreover, with this subscription, you will get access not only to ebooks but also magazines, series and audiobooks.

IPAD MINI 6TH GENERATION by APPLE – £569.00

Another great gift for creative writers can be a second screen. Whether it’s used to cross-check facts while writing, watching series or writing down notes. I love to keep mine on the side to write comments and notes on my work. As well as having a space to doodle to relax, keep my Notion planner updated and make mood boards for my writing.

This Ipad comes with up 10 hours of battery life, an 8.3-inch liquid retina display and a 12MP wide back camera. It comes in plenty of colours as well as sizes. The mini one is great to keep in your bag and take notes when taking courses or keep notes of ideas.

BEADED GLASS CHAIN by SELINI ACCESSORIES – £12.50

Glasses and chains were very common when I was a kid. Not exactly a fashion accessory, it was more out of practicality and mostly on kids and the older generation. Because let me tell you, they didn’t exactly look over the top or good-looking.

But nowadays, after a popular boom of their use for holding masks during the pandemic, they also made a comeback for glasses. This beaded chain is a great accessory that won’t be only useful but also add a nice touch to your look. I am the kind of person that always misplace things, so while writing looking frantically for my glasses is not the best!

SHIATSU BACK MASSAGER by WOQQW STORE – £38.99

Another amazing gift for creative writers must be a back massager. Now, whether you crouch on a desk writing or reading, or even if your daily job is taxing on your back, this massager will be a true gift! This massager offered a heated massage to help with tired and stiff muscles. This square pillow fits perfectly on the back and has 4 massage nodes that knead the fatigue and soreness of muscles.

This massager is great for the neck, shoulder, lower and upper back, abdomen and feet. Easy and adaptable for home, office, car and chair. A multi-functional gift that everyone in the family can use, either at home or while travelling.

BOOKBINDING KIT by OUR HANDS – £24.99

If I don’t add a craft kit to the gift guide, it wouldn’t be me! I love to try my hands at different things and bookbinding has been on my radar for quite a long time, I kind of dipped my fingers in it while in school. But I thought that a nice activity for writers would bind their own notebooks. I always find a certain pride in using things I made myself and am sure a lot of people share that feeling.

In this kit from Our Hands you will find an instruction book, a binders needle, a bone filter, a ruler, an awl, linen tape, thread, a paper bundle, cover paper and glue. It will help you create three different styles of the notebook, from a pamphlet to a Japanese-style bound pad. What’s even better is that having all tools and instructions, you can reuse this kit over and over.

GLASS COFFEE CAN WITH BAMBOO LID by MINIE CRAFTS – £15.99

Another essential in my writing pack or if you want to call it a writer emergency pack, is surely coffee! Now whether you are a coffee,3 tea, juice or water drinker, whatever is your drink of choice, staying hydrated while writing is a must! As much as having snacks, I need to have close to me something to drink and having a tumbler with a lid always helps instead of having a glass. At least it’s helpful for my clumsiness!

This 16oz glass cup with a bamboo lid and glass straw are perfect to keep your drink beside you. It comes with plenty of high-quality vinyl prints of them, but the coffee surely caught my eye! They are hand washed and cold drinks only. but they are far too cute to pass and perfect to brighten up your desk in summer!

OUI OUI OUI PRINTABLE WALL ART by ALBERT MOON – £4.50 *GIFTED

Looking to brighten up your writing room or to add something above your desk? Are you after something stylish and minimal that won’t distract you from work but is always there to look up to? Next up on the gifts for writers is this monochrome printable wall art.

You will find plenty of different designs on the website and different colours, depending on where you want to place them. We went for something simple but that will always remind you that yes, you can do it! Just look up when you feel discouraged!

GRAMMAR PENCILS SET by NEWTON AND THE APPLE – £7.50

If you love a good joke or you are the one correcting grammar left and right with family and friends or know someone that does, these are the presents to get! This grammar pencil set is an amazing stocking filler, a great teacher present or a writer’s gift.

They come in shades of green or blue and with some of the most common grammar mistakes, from YOUR & YOU’RE to WHO, THAT & WHICH. These five pencils have gold foil writing and a pink eraser like a classic retro pencil.

RECYCLED WOOL BLANKET by THE TARTAN BLANKET CO– £90.00 *GIFTED

Another essential for writers in my opinion is a blanket. Whenever I pass my time writing or reading, as I already said, I love to be comfy! And a blanket can never go wrong as well as one can never have too many, right?

This blanket, in particular, is a huge favourite of mine because it’s a recycled blanket containing 70% of recycled wool and 30% of pre-loved fibres, saving in average six garments from landfill. What’s better than being comfy and sustainable at the same time? I hear you though, wool can be hard to care for, but these recycled wool blankets are completely machine washable, so in case some coffee or tea spills, there’s no need to cry!

This blanket is honestly one of the softest things you can touch despite being wool and for someone who usually finds wool rough on the skin, you can believe me! These recycled wool blankets come in plenty of colours and they make a great gift for creative writers as well as adding a pop of colour to the room.

GOLD SILK PILLOWCASE by SILK PILLOW CASE – £79.95*GIFTED

I am a night owl and have been since I can remember. But that doesn’t mean I don’t need a good night’s sleep. And if there’s something I can’t stand while sleeping is having a warm pillow and start sneezing like a mad person as soon as I get into bed. I know, there are worse things around for sure. But after spending time writing or reading until you close your eyes, I need a good night.

And good night’s sleep calls for a great pillow and pillowcase. That’s why I decided to add this silk pillowcase between the gifts for writers. This gold silk pillowcase is the ultimate luxury present for yourself and your skin. Silk is 100% hypoallergenic and can help with eczema, skin irritations as well as allergies. When using a silk pillowcase you will notice smoother hair, and glowing skin as silk doesn’t retain moisture like cotton does and reduces the appearance of fine lines. And the best pro to me is the cooling properties for sure!

ENCHANTED FOREST COLOURING BOOK by JOHANNA BASFORD – £7.19

Next up on the gifts for creative writers is an adult colouring book. If you ever get writer’s block or you need ten minutes to unpick your brain and just relax, colouring has been proven to be an activity that can help you do that. This enchanted forest colouring book will take you on a quest through the forest and to the castle.

You will find plenty of drawings to fill up, from animals to wildflowers, buildings and mazes. Streaks and waterfalls to reach the castle. And you will also find nine symbols that will help you unlock the castle door at the end of the book. The same author is also well known for plenty more adult colouring books in case this is not the one for you or the receiver.

STORMPAD WATERPROOF NOTEPAD by LIMITLESS EQUIPMENT STORE -£9.99

Ever had an idea under the shower and forgotten about it by the time you get out? Ever got an amazing idea in the strongest of places? Creativity doesn’t exactly wait to spring on you when you sit comfortably at your desk and being prepared is a total must! I get ideas usually when I am in bed and suddenly at night, so I always keep a notebook on my bedside table.

But I am sure I could use one of these waterproof and weatherproof notebooks. Similar to aqua notes, you will be able to write notes in the worst of rain and extreme weather conditions. It comes in a pocket size spiral bound pad, perfect for your shower or pockets of your jackets. The paper is 100% waterproof and long-lasting. Whether you are up for a great novel idea in the shower or writing down your swim time at the swimming pool, this is the notepad for you!

SAFARI FOUNTAIN PEN by LAMY – £18.66

If there’s something I have always coveted since I was young was a fountain pen. I don’t really know why maybe cause they are classics or I am an old soul. I always imagined myself writing letters and novels with one and when I got my first one I couldn’t stop using it. That’s why I decided to add one to these gifts for creative writers.

They are a great idea for Christmas or for an occasion and most of all easy to add as a stocking filler too. The Lamy fountain pen is easy and perfect for beginners and experts alike. What I love most about fountain pen is that you can refill your ink and get going!

This pen is made of ABS plastic, is elegant, light and with a sleek design. It also with a metal clip to attach to your notebook or to your pocket if you really feel fancy. It comes in plenty of colours and its ergonomically shaped grip zone makes it comfortable to write with it.

EMERGENCY SNACK CANVAS POUCH by ALPHABET BAGS -£20.00

Is there something more essential after a coffee while writing than snacks? I don’t know you, but while I write I need fuel. I drink as no tomorrow and eat everything I can find. So next up for the gifts for creative writers is an essential snack pouch. You can fill it with everything you need for your session or take it around too when out and about.

If you are a snack lover as much as I am, this is a total essential for your writing sessions! The writing is printed on sturdy canvas and comes with a sturdy zip. It’s also a useful gift for anyone who was a kid and loves to be in nature, so it’s a win-win!
