7 unique ways to calm down

Welcome to the first official blog post on That Vero -blog.
It was a hard decision to make but this is the best change I ever made on this blog. Changing the name and adding more topics to this blog, because I want to write more about life, creativity, or spirituality and not just about fashion.

So let's start with the first non-fashion blog post.
This post will be about calming down (e.g after a stressful event).

Sometimes we don´t realize how much school, work, or even people, our friends, the family can stress us out.
It´s okay to be stressed out but not for too long!

Hello, Dear Reader if you feel stressed out lately this article will be for you. Here are many ways to calm down after a stressful day/night/event or even a week. I know that some people will think: I don´t have time to do these things..I´m busy and so on. Trust me if you need time to calm down or healing you´ll find it.

These are just suggestions- you don´t have to do them all

1. Make a SPA day
Try out a new face mask, body lotion, or make a bubble bath.
Start a skincare routine, make your hair, create an outfit, or make your nails.
Pamper yourself for a whole day and this will help you to relax.

2. Candles and Sage

If you want to have something small for your room to just calmly to look at, I suggest buying sage or a light scented candle.
A really strong scented candle can make you feel dizzy or can cause headaches.

3. Writing
Write how your day/week/month went, an article, journal,
How you feel or a story.
For example: Search for 3 random words and make a story out of it. Writing can truly distract you.

4. Reading
Reading can distract you too.
Read Fanfictions, manga, articles about sports, cars, photography or fashion or read books/stories, poems of your favorite genre.

5. Take a walk
Take a walk outside. Listen to calm music when walking (grounding). Breath in and out. Observe people, buildings, or animals. I know dear reader how this may sound right now... weird and that this whole grounding thing won´t work but you have to try it out!

6. Make a playlist
Make a new playlist with calming music, ASMR audio, audiobooks, or meditations. Listen to this playlist while closing your eyes and laying down.

7. Express yourself
It´s a really nice feeling to express yourself. Draw, dance, sing, design or create something new. Search for tips, hacks, DIYs for your favorite hobby/passion.

Hope you liked these tips! Till next Friday!
