Why are there illnesses, sicknesses, and diseases? Why is death so rampant everywhere especially among the youth? Why are there problems here and there all over the world? Forget about the shortcomings of Adam and Eve this time around. Most preachers and pastors make the mistakes of quoting Jesus prophecies about signs of the end of time and Paul’s prophecies in his letter to Timothy about the kinds of lifestyles that people will embrace. The crux of the matter is that the majority of the human population are not where they are supposed to be.
      How many people care about the will of God these days? Even for those who bother to inquire about where to go and what to do with their lives they were inquiring about matters that do not relate to them. Where are you now and how far have you gone? Are you sure God is a party to your choice of settlement, partner, work or vocation, friends that you keep, the church that you attend etc? A good number of people chase after glamour, misdirected information, differential opportunities, the envy and allure of successes of classmates, etc without bothering about the will of God over every matter concerning them.
    To be candid some tried to ask after the will of God for their lives but in the wrong places! Most of the places we go to inquire about the will of God have no bearing with God. The general Epistles of  2Peter 4:2-3 says “Hereby know ye the spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: And this is that spirit of antichrist…..”. This is the reason why several people’s lives are in disarray. They wonder if the persons who told them what they embarked upon were not men of God. The question is what is the pedigree of those people in the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ? Are they children of God? Do their words align with the word of God? Whereas the will of God for every souls is in his words. If the place is not a certified center of the holy spirit you have only gone there to receive prophecies of anticipation that will mislead and ruin your life.
      How many people can scoop hot poridge in a cap and put it on the head immediately? Everybody will say nobody. The truth is that a good number of us have done it at one point or the other and the fallouts are the obvious hardships and regrets that we now see. This is why the bible tells us in Romans 12:2 ” And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God”. A life directed by God’s will is seamless, peaceful and successful. Whereas a life devoid of God’s input is full of struggles, hardships, doubts, failures, temptations, suspicions, trial by error and all the likes that make success unattainable and unachievable.
       If only you can stand firm in the Lord and steady enough to distinguish between your needs and wants, you have scaled a major hurdle of life. Psalm 34:5 says “They look unto him, and were lightened and their faces were not ashamed” Psalm 37:4-5 says “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart, commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass”. Most people do not know how to be steady and look up to the Lord in the absence of a Seer. No prayer could be greater than calling upon the Lord to order your steps in the desires of your heart.
     Have you missed some steps and your future looks doubtful and bleak? This word is handy and good enough for you today that you pray that the mighty hand of the Lord shall redirect your steps and life.
