…says Akpabio will Aid Tinubu’s Administration

Coalition of Nigerians in Cameroon has supported the All Progressives Congress, APC zoning of the Senate President to Sen. Godswill Akpabio saying that he served well as a Minority Leader and former Governor of Akwa Ibom.

The Coalition revealed its stance in a statement by Mr. Peter Edet,  Chief Emeka Ajuonuma, Amb. Charles Eyo,  Prince Otobong Ituen, Mr. Iniobong Essien, Chief Anietie Akpata, Mr. Sylvanus Nyong, Alhaji Idris Haruna, and Mr. Bolaji Ogunyemi.

In the meantime, Roundoffnews has reported that there has been consistent debate on the position of Senate President and Speaker in the APC Senate camp.

Some political commentators have sought that, the position of Senate President be shifted to the Southeast to balance power; other party members demanded it should be moved to the South-South on the ground that the Southeast has contributed little to the APC.

Recently, Senator Akpabio visited Buhari to reveal his aspirations, following this the Northwest APC Senators have declared support for Akpabio leaving other aspirants like Senator Abdulaziz Yari, Sani Musa, and Orji Kalu unhappy with the situation.

According to the Coalition Under the aegis of Coalition of Nigerians in Cameroon, Akpabio is qualified and poses the experience to lead the 10th Senate and support Asiwaju Bola Tinubu administration towards the betterment of the country.

The representative said, “We align in toto with the position of the  vast majority of Nigerians, the National Working Committee, NWC, of  the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, and members of the 10th Senate, for their unequivocal desire and rooting  for Senator Godswill Akpabio to become the next Senate President in the Red Chambers.” The Nations gathered.
