By Akubulu Ngozi

Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has dismissed the appeal issued by the Allied Peoples Movement,APM, attempting to disqualify the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi in the just concluded 2023 Presidential Election.

The appeal according to them was on the account of some alleged defections of Obi on the presidential election as violating sections 77(2) and (3) of the Electoral Act, 2022.

Recall that, the All Progressives Congress APC,Candidate and President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu also presented this to the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in response to Obi’s Petition against him.

A three-member panel of Justice at the Appellate Court declared there was no merit in the appeal filed by APM.
