JoJo Siwa still believes Candace Cameron Bure is the rudest celebrity

JoJo Siwa doubles down on her statement that Candace Cameron Bure is the rudest celebrity she ever met.

While appearing on Thursday’s episode of the Viall Files podcast, the Boomerang singer explained that she previously regretted giving Bure the harsh label.

However, things changed for the worse after the 47-year-old talked about the importance of keeping traditional marriage at the core of her TV network.

Siwa had a chat with Bachelor alum Nick Viall where she said,

“I wish she was able to be a little more open, more accepting,”

“I’m okay with calling her out in the way that I did.”

The dancer added,

“For a while I regretted it, but after I found out that article about her not wanting anything to do [with] LGBTQIA+ … that’s my people. And I have to stand up for my people.”

JoJo who is pansexual explained that the reason why she had a problem with Bure was not because she wanted to do movies about heterosexual relationships but rather particularly wanted to “make movies that had no representation of LGBTQIA+.”

Siwa added,

“It’s fine if you are doing it because it’s just your movie’s storyline and it’s just it is what it is, like … not everything needs to be gay essentially,”

Can JoJo Siwa and Candace ever be on good terms again?

The Hold The Drama hitmaker added,

“It’s fine if you are doing it because it’s just your movie’s storyline and it’s just it is what it is, like … not everything needs to be gay essentially,”

“But when you’re doing it out of spite to say that, ‘Too much is about LGBTQIA+ and you guys suck and I want to make a movie about traditional marriage and you’re not traditional,’ that got to me a little bit.”

The drama started in July 2022 after the Dancing With The Stars alum labeled the Full House star as the rudest celeb during a TikTok challenge.

At the time, JoJo Siwa explained that her first meeting with Candace was not at all pleasant when she was 11 years old.

After that, Bure called Siwa to apologize and the stars were seemingly in a good state.

It was until the Fuller House star joined the Great American Family network and promised to keep traditional marriage on screen.

Right after that, Siwa slammed the actress for reportedly hurting the LGBTQIA+ community with her statement.

It has been nine months since the drama and JoJo Siwa explained that she and Bure will never see eye to eye.

The Dance Moms alum told the hosts,

”After reading [the article], it gave me a little sense of, ‘OK, you and her are never going to agree, you and her are never going to be friends [or] get along,”

“I’m never going to be able to change her, she’s not gonna be able to change me, we can both just live life.”
