Pinky Cole is officially married to Derrick Hayes after almost three years of dating

Pinky Cole is off the market! The $100 million plant-based burger chain founder, 35, tied the knot to his long-time boyfriend Derrick Hayes earlier this month.

The lavish Wedding ceremony took place on June 10, at the St. Regis in Atlanta, Georgia. Cole gushed about her wedding to PEOPLE,

“It’s a fairytale, a Cinderella wedding, Just the other day, my mother saw me in my dress for the first time, and I never thought I would see myself in a wedding dress. It’s a dream come true because I’m doing something that no one in my family has ever done. To be the first to have a wedding is a big deal. I’m breaking generational patterns and creating a new one.”

The couple first connected through their professional work but ultimately became life partners.

The new bride reflects on their first meeting with a business purpose on June 8, 2020, at the Sunflower Cafe in Atlanta, Georgia, saying,

“We talked about politics and connected as friends from there on,”

Prior to the couple’s wedding, Hayes spoke to the outlet acknowledging the significance of marriage in her life and how it will also positively impact their children.

“Becoming husband and wife means everything to me because I can finally share myself with someone and become a union. I’m looking forward to it because it allows me to raise my kids in an environment I want to see them in. I believe everyone wants to be happy, and I’m seeing that true happiness come into my life.”

Well, Pinky and Derrick are already a parent to two children a daughter, D Ella, 1, and a son Derrick Hayes Jr., 11 months.

In addition, Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks founder is also a dad to daughters Denver, 7, and Dallas, 9, from his previous relationship.

Wedding attires

Hayes looked stunning in her wedding dress, a strapless mermaid-style gown that featured a plunging deep-V sweetheart neckline and back with layered.

The gown was custom made which took four months to design by premium lifestyle brand Milano di Rouge. Founder of Milano Di Rouge, Milan Harris said about the wedding gown,

“Milano Di Rouge had never designed a wedding dress before. We didn’t know how we were going to make it happen, but we knew we were going to do whatever it took to design the perfect dress for Pinky,”

“It was important to us to create an experience that allowed Pinky to see more than a sketch or design. To bring the dress to life, we made sure to include Pinky’s face and skin tone on the model in Photoshop so she could visualize herself in the dress.”

The groom, on the other hand, wore a custom-made mauve tuxedo designed by Miguel Wilson.

After the ceremony, Cole changed into her second look for the reception, a dress from Bridals by Lori.

Pinky Cole walked down the aisle to Cobbs Leonard‘s special rendition of “Looks Like We Made It” in front of the 300 guests. Similarly, the pair exchanged wedding vows with each other.

The lavish wedding venue decor included an oval fringe motif on the ceilings, regal chandeliers, and beautiful florals in tones of mauve, blush, and ivory.

The table chargers were ombre, with gold and ivory China, blush stemware, and acrylic and gold flatware.

Similarly, the guests had a choice between vegan and non-vegan meal alternatives. While the vegan plate consists of chef’s garden greens, vegan Roman gnocchi, peas, curled radish, mushroom and sherry reduction, and pan-roasted maitake mushrooms with truffle.

The other option includes a strawberry carpaccio with baby watercress and frisée, crumbled peppercorn feta, caramelized pecans, balsamic caviar, and basil vinaigrette.

As for the main course, they served a duet plate of stuffed chicken and salmon with sundried tomatoes and goat cheese, herb-roasted shrimp, olive-and-herb whipped potatoes, and baby veggies in a basil butter sauce.

When it came to dessert, the newlywed cuts two cakes including an ombre five-tier stunner with crystal scales cascading down the side by K&J’s Elegant Pastries.

Cole is vegan, so St. Regis made a vegan coconut with Malibu rum syrup, pineapple and mango compote, mango mousse, and strawberry foam
