I would like to introduce you all and welcome Trisha Wren who is deeply passionate to help horses and their owners.

Trisha Wrens Story

Trisha is here to offer help and insight to those who are worried, frustrated, or just curious about what’s going on with their horses!

I went from a horse mad kid, to owning my first horse at 21. She happened to be a Quarter Horse so I dived headlong into Western Riding and competing, away from my BHS roots! One thing led to another, and I started teaching and training, and bred a foal.

She was really the start of everything…When I started having problems with her (she was quite herd bound) I found a guy called Mark Rashid who totally changed the way I was thinking about her behaviour.

I ended up working as his assistant for 2 years, learning things I could only have dreamed of. Through Mark I met Peggy Cummings and started understanding more about horse and rider biomechanics, which led to me becoming a Connected Riding Instructor.

We moved to New Zealand from Scotland, and I taught clinics there and in Australia for the next 10 years. The connections in our lives are so interesting and important!

Through Peggy I met Robyn Hood, from the Tellington Method, and learned more about body work, release of tension, and balance. I knew I was ‘feeling’ horses on a much deeper level.

And then, seemingly completely separate and not related to horses, I joined a meditation group…. and that changed everything again.

Suddenly I was able to connect with horses on a spiritual or energetic level. I started practicing and honing my animal communication and healing skills, and developed my own protocols to help horses heard, understood, and more balanced.

I still can’t quite believe that I get to connect with horses in this way, and I’m so grateful that I can help both them and their owners understand each other better!

Trisha Wrens Top Equestrian Tips

1. Talk to your horse – mindfully. Tell them you love them, tell them your plans, explain things to them. You might be surprised how much that helps them.

2. Really observe what your horse is trying to tell you, and if in doubt stop and do nothing. Sitting quietly with your horse is more powerful – and beneficial to your relationship – than pushing through difficulties.
