A confrontation that witnessed wonderful goals… Angola defeats Mauritania in the African Cup of Nations | sports

The Angola national team defeated its Mauritanian counterpart 3-2 – today, Saturday – in the second round of the group stage in the fourth group of the African Cup of Nations held in Senegal.

Gelson Dala, striker of the Qatari Al-Wakrah team, put Angola ahead in the 31st minute after taking advantage of poor defence.

Omar Sidi Bouna sparked a strong uprising for Mauritania after he equalized with one of the most beautiful goals in the tournament so far in the 43rd minute, as he started from Angola's half and dribbled past 5 players before putting the ball into the net.

The Mauritanian national team collapsed five minutes after the start of the second half, and Dala doubled Angola's advantage with a beautiful goal, as he penetrated from the opponent's half and dribbled past more than one player before scoring the net.

Gilberto added the third goal in the 53rd minute with a shot from inside the area that hit a defender before entering the net, taking advantage of defensive confusion.

Abu Bakari Quetta reduced the difference for Mauritania with a tremendous shot from outside the penalty area in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper failed to deal with it.

The Angola national team raised its score to four points, equal to the Burkina Faso national team, which tied 2-2 with Algeria earlier today.
