Police Seek Women Wearing Images of Paragliding Terrorists as Rishi Sunak Warns Protesters of Law Enforcement and Tories Express Anger over Pro-Palestinian Demo at Cenotaph

Rishi Sunak, the PM, has issued a warning that protesters who “glorify” Hamas will face legal consequences. The police are currently searching for two women who wore images of paragliding terrorists. Sunak emphasized that Hamas is a proscribed terrorist organization and supporting them can result in lengthy prison sentences. His comments were made during a visit to a Jewish school in London before updating MPs on the crisis in the Middle East. There is ongoing controversy surrounding the pro-Palestinian demonstrations in Westminster, with the Metropolitan Police releasing clearer images of the two women they are searching for. Conservatives are also questioning why the protests were permitted near the Cenotaph, considering it is sacred ground honoring Britain’s war dead. The Met stated that Westminster Council is responsible for authorizing or blocking protests on roads, but the council claimed it did not give approval. Hamas recently used paragliders in an attack on Israel. Sunak confirmed that the police are reviewing footage of the protest and reminded the public that actions inciting violence or promoting religious and racial hatred are unacceptable and will be met with legal repercussions. Defence Minister James Heappey criticized the celebration and glorification of the protest, stating that celebrating the loss of human life is despicable. Home Secretary Suella Braverman also warned demonstrators, accusing some of promoting terrorism and genocide. The police are currently trying to identify the two women who attended the protest. The lack of restrictions on the protest, which took place near the Cenotaph, has sparked backlash. Former minister Mark Francois questioned the decision to allow the protest to occur at such a sacred memorial and called for justification. Jeremy Corbyn was among the speakers at the protest.
