Eco-Activists Upstage UK’s Biggest Gaming Convention with Audacious Orange Paint Protest

This is the moment when eco-zealots from the group Just Stop Oil disrupted the winners final of Tekken 7 at the EGX 2023 gaming convention in the UK. Three protestors stormed the stage, dressed as Ghostbusters, and sprayed orange paint on the equipment. This incident follows their recent interruption of a performance of Les Miserables in London’s West End where they ruined the musical’s famous song. The protestors were eventually forcefully removed from the stage after causing a disturbance. A spokesperson for Just Stop Oil stated that they believe the threat of climate change is real and urged everyone to join their civil resistance movement against new oil and gas. They also announced plans for a slow march through London at the end of October. The EGX gaming event allows attendees to play new games, attend panels, and participate in tournaments. The Tekken 7 Open Tournament, which the eco-zealots targeted, had a prize pool of £5,000. Just Stop Oil was also involved in an incident at a performance of Les Miserables where they were arrested by the Metropolitan Police.
