Frustrated by the lack of forks available at the store, Sutcliffe resorted to using screws as makeshift chopsticks. He shared a picture of this unconventional lunch setup on Twitter, expressing his disbelief at Tesco’s repeated absence of forks. Sutcliffe explained that he had visited a Tesco Express in Theydon Bois, Essex twice in search of lunch but found no wooden cutlery either time. Unable to find any nearby supermarkets or chicken shops that could provide him with forks, he improvised by using two four-inch screws from his toolbox. Although Sutcliffe admitted to never using chopsticks before, he gave it a try, though it proved to be challenging. The screws poked his cheek and rubbed against his teeth, even causing a small cut. Sutcliffe believes that he is not alone in resorting to such measures, as he claims other workmen have used screws in a similar way when faced with no cutlery options. The tweet gained significant attention, receiving close to two million views and sparking numerous comments and discussions. Tesco has yet to provide a comment on the situation.
