An Israeli festivalgoer has shared her horrifying experience when Hamas gunmen attacked a dance festival, opening fire on fleeing people. Gili Yoskovich described how she hid under a tree while bullets whizzed around her for three hours. She witnessed young people dying around her as Hamas militants went on a killing spree. Eventually, she was rescued by Israeli soldiers after hearing them speak in Hebrew. Footage posted on TikTok showed festivalgoers dancing, unaware of the impending terror. Gili hid under a tree and remained silent, thinking about her children. She eventually managed to escape the field and reach safety. Gili described how she heard Hebrew and Arabic, realizing there were soldiers present. She approached them with her hands up and was put into a car. She was the first one to escape, as others took several more hours while people continued to die. The festival had been alerted by a siren, leading to chaos as people tried to escape. Heavily armed Hamas militants arrived and began their attack, killing and injuring numerous people. Videos shared on social media showed the panic and chaos among attendees as they ran to escape. German tattoo artist Shani Louk was among those captured by Hamas militants. Her lifeless body was paraded on a pickup truck, while militants sat on top of her and jeered. Hamas initially claimed she was an Israeli soldier, but it was confirmed to be Shani by her cousin. Another woman, Noa Argamani, was also captured and seen screaming as she was driven away by a gunman on a motorbike. The attacks were part of a coordinated assault by Palestinian militants, who crossed into Israel from Gaza, seizing settlements and capturing or killing civilians celebrating a Jewish holiday. The festival attended by Shani was one of the first targets, with dozens killed and others taken hostage. Survivors shared their harrowing experiences, including playing dead to stay alive. The attacks marked one of the worst onslaughts in 50 years, with land, sea, and air attacks carried out by Palestinian militants.
