Gabrielle Union reveals that her daughter thought Beyonce’s Renaissance Tour was a BLUE IVY concert: ‘I had to explain that to her’

Gabrielle Union relayed a hilarious story from her mother daughter date to Beyonce’s Renaissance Tour, telling People that her 4-year-old daughter Kaavia James Wade thought it was a Blue Ivy concert.

The 50-year-old actress joked that, ‘I had to explain to her that Blue is only a small part of the concert.’

Gabrielle’s mini-me, who she shares with her former NBA star husband Dwyane Wade, 41, is ‘obsessed’ with Blue, according to her mother.

According to the Bring It On star, her daughter was absolutely ‘delirious’ with joy at the opportunity to stay up past her 7 p.m. bedtime, given that Beyonce didn’t hit the stage until 8:30 p.m. or so.

However, Kaavia lost interest when the actual headliner took the stage, with Gabrielle recounting how, ‘Blue comes on and then when she’s off and Beyoncé comes back, she’s like, ‘Where’s Blue?’

Feeling blue: Gabrielle Union revealed in a hilarious interview that her daughter Kaavia thought that Beyonce’s Renaissance World tour was actually a ‘Blue Ivy concert’

Like mother, like daughter: The Breaking In star joked that Kaavia immediately lost interest when the Renaissance tour’s actual headliner took the stage, only wanting to see Blue perform

Continuing the story of Blue Ivy’s number one fan, the memoirist added that Kaavia, ‘was eager to get back to her besties and we’re like right there, watching the Queen do her thing on the biggest stage, and Kaavia’s like, ‘Blue is gone? The mom is cool but she hasn’t even sung ‘Single Ladies,’ Gabrielle explained.

Now in the Union-Wade household, the Renaissance World Tour is referred to as, ‘the Blue Ivy Concert,’ according to the Bad Boys II star.

The concert was a family affair, with the former Miami Heat point guard and the couple’s 17-year-old daughter Zaya joining in on the fun.

Jokes aside, the Cheaper By The Dozen starlet emphasized why she and her husband felt it was so important to take their daughters to the Beyonce concert in the first place.

Creating, ‘these core, lifetime memories and to be able to provide for her what my parents provided for me,’ was vital for Gabrielle when it came to celebrating Kaavia’s birthday.

The Renaissance Tour experience was a treat for Zaya as well, according to her A-list mother.

‘[Zaya] is the biggest Beyoncé fan and she was in Club Renaissance and had the time of her life,’ the Cradle 2 The Grave actress noted.

She also gushed about the Cuff It singer’s star power, saying, ‘Bey is such an amazing woman and performer and it was a massive celebration that felt like something far beyond a concert.’

The We’re Going To Need More Wine author still felt like she had an ‘afterglow’ from the concert several days after the family went together.
