George Foreman’s Former Spouses: Who Were They?

TWO-TIME world heavyweight champion George Foreman has been married multiple times throughout his life. Since 1985, he has been married to Mary Joan Martelly, but prior to that, he married four other women.

George Foreman, born on January 10, 1949, in Marshall, Texas, is a former professional boxer, entrepreneur, minister, and author. He gained fame in the late 1960s as a professional boxer, earning the nickname Big George and competing against notable fighters like Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali. He achieved the title of two-time world heavyweight champion and won an Olympic gold medal.

After retiring in 1997, Foreman ventured into business by creating the George Foreman Grill, which remains popular and in production today. His brand expanded to include smokeless grills, electric grills, and panini presses, among other products. He has amassed an estimated fortune of $300 million as a result of his successful career.

Foreman has been married five times. His ex-wives include Adrienne Calhoun, Cynthia Lewis, Sharon Goodson, and Andrea Skeete. Details on these women’s personal lives are scarce as they tend to stay out of the spotlight. Foreman’s marriage to Calhoun ended in 1974 due to an alleged affair, while his marriages to Lewis, Goodson, and Skeete were relatively short-lived, and no children were born from these relationships.

Foreman’s fifth and current wife is Mary Joan Martelly, whom he married in 1985. Martelly keeps a low profile, and not much is known about her personal life. Since their marriage, Foreman and Martelly have welcomed five children together, bringing Foreman’s total number of children to ten.
