Cricketer Stuart Broad is reportedly in talks to become a last minute signing for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The Ashes hero, 37, was said to have been contacted by producers last week after he helped England to victory over Australia.
If he does take part, Stuart will be following in the footsteps of his fiancée Mollie King who took to the dancefloor during the 2017 series.
A source told The Sun: ‘Stuart is very much the hero of the hour and a perfect choice to fill the coveted ‘sport star’ slot.
‘It is a last-minute approach, but the BBC think he’s worth trying to get on board because he would be hugely popular with viewers.

‘They’d be guaranteed to feature quite a few cricket-themed dances, and would almost certainly incorporate his famous bandana somehow too.’
Mollie was partnered with AJ Pritchard during her series where she made it to the semi-finals.
She and Stuart became engaged in January 2021 and their daughter Annabella was born in November 2022.
Stuart’s ex teammates Michael Vaughan and Graeme Swann have both taken part in the show while former England bowler Darren Gough won in 2005.
Celebrities who have reportedly been approached for the new series include EastEnders star Bobby Brazier and former Coronation Street actor Ellie Leach.
Loose Women star Sophie Morgan has also reportedly signed up, becoming the show’s first ever wheelchair-using contestant.
Other names rumoured by competing this year include veteran broadcaster Angela Rippon, actor Adam Thomas and Love Island star Zara McDermott.
Zara is also set to become the first ever Love Island contestant to appear on Strictly, bringing an end to the show’s ban on reality stars.

Bosses believe having Zara on the programme will attract more younger people to watch the show and give her the opportunity to further her career with the broadcaster.
However, it is unlikely that she will fall victim to the infamous Strictly curse because she is dating Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson, 30, with whom she has starred alongside on the E4 show.
A Strictly insider told MailOnline: ‘Zara is the perfect signing for Strictly, not only is she beautiful and glamorous but she is hardworking and will take being on the show very seriously.
‘She’s absolutely loved the experience of documentary making and is over the moon to further her relationship with the BBC by signing up to Strictly.
‘It is a dream come true for her and becoming the first former Love Island star to do so is the icing on the cake.’
