Shannon Sharpe ‘in talks with FanDuel’ after breakup with Skip Bayless – a day after cryptic tweet

Shannon Sharpe ‘in talks with FanDuel’ after former Undisputed host seeks out future away from ex-debate partner Skip Bayless… a week after leaving FS1

Former Undisputed star and Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe could be teaming up with FanDuel.

According to a Front Office Sports report, Sharpe is in talks with the betting powerhouse.

Sharpe left the FS1 flagship program following the NBA Finals amid tensions with debate partner, Skip Bayless.

On Monday, Sharpe – a three-time Super Bowl champion – shared snaps of himself in the streets of Los Angeles on social media, wearing a grey tracksuit, accompanied with dominantly pink Nike sneakers and a black and gold crossbody bag, as he was entering what seems to be a rather chic venue.

‘I’m enjoying my early morning workouts, late breakfast, and break from wearing a suit every morning,’ Sharpe wrote as a caption to his Instagram post. ‘…… but just for a little while. I’ll be back on TV in the morning’s soon.’

The Pro Football Hall of Famer also gave away a few hints that he was meeting up with at least one person to talk about his future and his podcast, ‘Club ShayShay,’ sharing several hashtags online, such as ‘#brunch,’ ‘#talkshow,’ and ‘#podcasting.’

Last Tuesday, Sharpe broke down in tears while saying his goodbyes to Bayless, who said he couldn’t sleep at all the night before his last episode with the ex-NFL tight-end, as the 55-year-old Sharpe put an end to his seven-year run as the show’s co-host.

His departure from the show came months after tense disagreements between himself and Bayless – most notably on how the NFL should’ve handled the response to Damar Hamlin’s cardiac arrest back in January.

That night, the NFL couldn’t postpone the Buffalo Bills’ matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals due to conflict in scheduling, despite an overwhelming majority of players and staff members’ concerns on Hamlin’s health.

‘No doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game – but how? This late in the season, a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome … which suddenly seems so irrelevant,’ Bayless tweeted.

Sharpe was noticeably absent from ‘Undisputed’ the next day, and when he returned a day later, he was visibly frustrated by Bayless interrupting him while he was trying to explain his stance on the matter. Bayless apologized for the tweet but did not delete it.

Sharpe appeared on ‘Undisputed’ for seven years with now-ex longtime partner Skip Bayless

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith offered Sharpe – his ‘brother’ – a spot on ‘First Take.’ Smith has a rotation of former-pros-turned-analysts, including the likes of Keyshawn Johnson, Ryan Clark, Dan Orlovsky, Marcus Spears and Damien Woody.

Sharpe is yet address the reasoning for his exit from FS1. Before his final show, Sharpe liked a tweet commenting on his breakup with Bayless.

‘Their relationship got progressively worse over the last 2 maybe 3 years because skip fought for him to be on that show but I feel like skip couldn’t stand Shannon succeeding without and that’s when skip was taking pot shots on air,’ the tweet read.
