Lupita’s breastplate is by Misha Japanwala, a Pakistani artist and fashion designer.

Misha casted and molded it from the actress’ body, per the star’s Instagram post: ‘Misha Japanwala is a Pakistani artist and fashion designer, whose work is rooted in the rejection and deconstruction and external shame attached to one’s body.’

Adding: ‘In her artistic process, she creates a realistic and true record of a person’s body as an act of resistance and celebration, and an insistence on being allowed to exist freely in our bodies.’

The beauty noted that she felt ‘honored’ and ‘humbled’ to wear the breastplate.

Lupita paired the eye-catching piece with black trousers and a matching blazer, slung over one shoulder after taking it off on the red carpet.
