Tv set presenter Phillip Schofield has apologised to his spouse, who stood by him following he arrived out in 2020, following sensationally confessing to an affair with a young male This Early morning colleague. 

The ‘unwise’ romance took position during the couple’s practically 30-12 months marriage and Schofield claimed he was ‘so extremely sorry’ for remaining unfaithful. 

Stephanie Lowe, 59, who shares two children, Ruby, 27, and Molly, 29, with Schofield, issued a statement when her spouse came out as gay in a transferring This Morning section in 2020.

An ITV Spokesperson explained on Friday evening: ‘We are deeply dissatisfied by the admissions of deceit built tonight by Phillip Schofield.

‘The associations we have with those people we work with are based mostly on trust. Philip made assurances to us which he now acknowledges have been untrue and we truly feel badly let down.

‘We settle for his resignation from ITV and consequently can ensure that he will not be appearing on ITV as had formerly been said.’

The couple married in March 1993 following conference when Schofield labored in children’s tv and she was a BBC creation assistant.

The presenter used much of the coronavirus lockdown with his loved ones, which include Stephanie Lowe, at their £2million residence in Henley.
