Suspected of killing bride on her wedding day, her BAC was three times the legal limit


(Trends Wide) — Jamie Komoroski, a suspect in the crash that claimed the life of a bride on her wedding day, had a Blood Alcohol level of three times the legal limit when her car crashed with a golf cart carrying them. the newlyweds, according to a toxicology report from the South Carolina Police Division.

The report, which the Folly Beach Police Department shared with Trends Wide, found that 25-year-old Komoroski had a blood alcohol level of 0.261%. South Carolina law prohibits driving with a BAC equal to or greater than 0.08%.

The girlfriend, Samantha Hutchinson, 34, of Charlotte, died of blunt force injuries, according to the Charleston County Coroner’s Office. Her husband, Aric Hutchinson, and two other people were also injured in the accident.

Komoroski is charged with one count of murder and three counts of felony driving while intoxicated resulting in serious injury, according to online court records. Her vehicle was traveling at 105 km/h in a 40 km/h zone, according to Police Chief Andrew Gilreath.

The defendant refused to take a field test after the accident on April 28 and an order was issued for a blood sample to be taken from her, according to an affidavit.

“We cannot imagine what the families are going through and we offer our deepest condolences. We simply ask that there be no rash judgment.
