Cuernavaca, Morelos, April 1, 2023.- During the afternoon of this Saturday Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, head of government of Mexico City, was received with applause, cheers and hugs by nearly 3,500 people who gathered to listen. the keynote conference, ”Public Policies for the Benefit of Citizenship, where he took the opportunity to ask women, girls and young people never to abandon their dreams, as he asserted that it is time for them to show that they can do anything they set their minds to.

Before the thousands of people from Morelos who celebrated the presence of Sheinbaum Pardo to the rhythm of the traditional “El brinco del baile del Chinelo” and to the cry of President!, he listed the great challenges and achievements he has faced during his administration in his way to guarantee the great rights for all the men and women of the capital, since only in this way is it possible to conceive an egalitarian society.

“I ask the women, the girls, the young women, that no one can stop their dreams, women can be anything, men too, but women have been relegated,” she pointed out.

From the City of Eternal Spring, the doctor in energy from the Autonomous University of Mexico, highlighted the need to continue working under the principles of the fourth transformation led by President Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador, whose government has been the watershed to change the history of the country, since the main objective is to find a new way of doing politics through democracy, but above all with love for the people.

“The essence is that today we have a president of the people and that he governs for the people, that there is no longer a government that governs for a few, that the nation’s resources are no longer handed over to foreign companies, to a few, there are no more looting,” stressed Claudia Sheinbaum.

In this regard, he stressed that Mexico City continues to face great challenges, but new opportunities have also opened up, by always governing with attention to causes as a priority, something that has been achieved by implementing social programs that support all sectors of society, from children, older adults, as well as people with disabilities.

In this sense, the Nobel Prize winner listed some of the most representative actions that have been carried out during her administration and that have been the way to open the doors to a new quality of life, as is the case with the creation of the program ”My Scholarship to Start” from which all boys and girls in basic education benefit, since the mission is to turn public education into the best of educations, in addition to this young people from all over the republic can continue with their studies thanks to the construction of high schools and new universities so that their preparation for the future is guaranteed.

In turn, he highlighted the work carried out in terms of mobility, since a historic investment has been made in public transport in order to guarantee “the best transport for those who have less”, with the complete renovation of line 1 of the Metro, as well as the creation of the first elevated Trolleybus in the world and the construction of the largest urban cable car with the Cablebús, which continues to expand to reach the most marginalized areas.

Finally, Claudia Sheinbaum emphasized the importance of continuing to work for the equality of all, since she pointed out that currently both men and women have the same abilities and in particular they are the ones who must continue to improve themselves because they can become engineers, lawyers, governors and also presidents.

Prior to the event, Claudia Sheinbaum held an exchange of experiences with 30 businessmen, who, like the people of Morelos, showed their love, appreciation and admiration.
