Al Sharpton and Black leaders rally towards Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis


TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Hundreds of Black legislators, preachers, and activists rallied against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ assaults on range, fairness, and inclusion initiatives Wednesday afternoon, threatening to pull students from Florida colleges and universities.

Demonstrators which includes Rev. Al Sharpton, protested in response to not only the state’s rejection of the School Board’s Advanced Placement African American Scientific studies class but also the governor’s designs to gut college or university range packages, keep on his migrant relocation plan and go after policies that are viewed as hazardous to the LGBTQ community.
