Pauses in relations with Iran and Afghanistan?

Afghanistan and Iran find themselves removing women from their demographics, like organs invaded by cancer. They are cave-countries. Irrationality and the violation of human rights reign in them.

Their cleric rulers say that by divine mandate they have to punish women who show their willingness to go to study at the university or those who uncover their hair or legs; the sharia is the guillotine of the 21st century.

Thousands of teenagers take to the streets to express their disagreement, but the clerical rulers repress them, and those who dare to hurt their moral guards, the gallows awaits them.

Theocracies often point to the United States as the instigator. Washington plays the role of satan, according to the storytelling writers: a tale that invariably turns parody into tragedy.

It is the 21st century.

In another region of the planet, countries like Spain pass a law for those who want to change their sex. Personal freedom prevails over the imposition of cavemen-zombies. Breaking with the determinism guarded by pazguatos is a sanction that is paid with life in countries like Iran and Afghanistan.

Liberties annoy tyrants because they perpetually want to shape society; They want their members inside their little houses and well behaved.

It is God’s command, say the messengers who play the role of ruling clerics.

Iran and Afghanistan require the world’s attention. These moments are decisive for their women. Being equidistant from what is happening in both countries is a dehumanizing trait.

Sometimes one has the feeling that countries like Iran or Afghanistan are part of a planet called Haiti. What happens on that planet does not generate the slightest interest on planet Earth. For example, Haiti is not commissioned by FIFA to hold a soccer World Cup just because it does not have the gas that regions like Qatar have. Countries such as El Salvador, Honduras, Uganda or Nigeria are located on the planet Haiti, among many others.

There is another planet called the National Palace. For President López Obrador, what is happening in Afghanistan and Iran has no exchange value in his press conferences. It would be of little use to pause diplomatic relations with both countries. It is not going to be that the ayatollahs get angry and send us murderous drones; it is not going to generate discomfort in the person of Ali Khamenei because in one of these he sends us his revolutionary guards or illustrious members of the morality police. Non-interference forces President AMLO to remain silent in the face of the massacres that are taking place in Iran. If massacres are taking place in Mexico, it is best to remain silent as the old PRI’s little book mandates.

The most profitable thing for the populists is to hit the Yankees. Saying you don’t like the mod of President Biden’s tweets excites the herd. Putting the relationship with Spain on hold represents a punishment for Hernán Cortés.

The best foreign policy is aggression. On the planet of the National Palace are the Venezuela of Maduro or the Cuba of Miguel Díaz-Canel, both with repression on their resumes.

Meanwhile, no comment, no mention of the crises in Afghanistan and Iran. The explanation offered by the SRE about its equidistance in the Iranian case is embarrassing. Dialogue, the reason for abstention at the UN.

Good luck to Marcelo Ebrard and Martha Delgado in the negotiation with the ayatollahs. Let’s hope they soon travel to Tehran to close a deal and the clerics stop crushing women’s futures.
