Nikola Jokic is one of the rare relatable superstars in the NBA. While his basketball talents are only known by a few, his attitude to contemporary fashion in the league resonates with many.

Charles Barkley is certainly one of those, and Jokic revealed his distaste for the interesting fits by some of his teammates and contemporaries before expressing his preference for a more classic attire.

Speaking to Barkley and the NBA on TNT crew postgame Tuesday, the Serbian sensation was complimented on his suit before explaining his reasoning for the chic pale blue turtleneck, seamlessly paired with a navy and maroon checkered suit.

Nikola Jokic arrived at the Ball Arena in Denver ready for a business meeting with the Grizzlies

‘We saw you coming in tonight, you were fly tonight, brother. You looked good tonight walking in there. You must got big plans after the game,’ Barkley quipped.

‘No, to be honest I started doing this, this season and I think it’s one way to represent yourself,’ Jokic said.

‘I just don’t like how the guys are dressing up for games. Wearing a suit means business, it means that I’m here to do my job.’

Some NBA players are known almost as much for fashion interests and fits as they are for on-court play. The likes of Russell Westbrook and Kyle Kuzma often lead the way.

Contemporary NBA players are known for more lairizing outfits than previous generations

Jokic most certainly clocked in vs. the Memphis Grizzlies as Denver won in comprehensive fashion, 105-91.

The reigning back-to-back MVP had yet another triple-double; scoring 13 points, amassing 13 rebounds and 13 assists in a complete performance.

It was the 82nd triple-double of the Serbian’s career – more than anything other center in NBA history.
