• The Forum “For a Sustainable Future” sowed ideas, new technologies and innovative business models in the audience facing the challenge of creating and maintaining organizations, companies and ventures with a social and economic vision of putting the planet first.

Culiacán, Sinaloa, November 17, 2022.- In the Forum “For a Sustainable Future” organized by the Sinaloa Ministry of Economy, Solve Awards, Evolusíe 3.8 and Liventia, the route was defined to advance decisively on the path towards sustainability.

In his welcome message, the Secretary of the Economy, Javier Gaxiola Coppel, stated that although companies and ventures have been developing important work on social, environmental and economic issues, now it is important to assume an imperative role that allows rapid progress on the road to care of the planet

“It is important that both large and micro, small and medium-sized companies generate strategies and innovate in a sustainable way to remain in the market and in the value chains that strengthen the economy,” he said.

He considered that it is time to solve the pressure of the environment, to promote creativity, to recognize the importance of the seas and oceans and to preserve identity and culture.

Gaxiola Coppel thanked Luis Márquez from Solve Awards, Fernando Arriaga and Santiago Lobeira from Evolusíe 3.8, and Carlos Alvarez from Liventia for having chosen Sinaloa to celebrate the first edition of this forum and for teaming up with the government of Rubén Rocha Moya, an administration that works for an inclusive, sustainable development with a social sense.

“Today within the framework of this event, through Innovation Master Class, Keynote Conferences, Stage Participants, Art Exhibition and Entrepreneurship Stories, we have the opportunity to define the future that we all want for the region and achieve the preservation of humanity,” he said.

The Secretary of Economy stressed that the purpose is to maintain the balance between the environment, economy and society with the purpose of finding the common good, working together, government, private initiative, foundations, academia to make possible a better future for the next generations.

He revealed that this year Sinaloa ranked first in socially responsible companies per capita “in the state steps are being taken, but it is necessary to accelerate beyond social responsibility, it is also essential to be responsible with the environment, to be friendly, to achieve this development”.

The Forum “For a sustainable future” was a space for sustainable innovation and cultural expression where ideas and technology converged with artistic and cultural manifestations in the search to define the future that we all want for the region and the planet.

The purpose was to sow ideas, new technologies and innovative business models in the audience to face the challenge of creating and maintaining organizations, companies and ventures with a social and economic vision of putting the planet first.

Within the framework of this event, the SOLve Awards were presented to Andrea Hernández, CEO & Founder of PYMO, a startup that has channeled around 2 million dollars of funds for projects with social and environmental impact in Mexico. She received a $100,000 investment prize.

Special guests participated in the forum who precisely addressed technology and access, profitability and sustainability, and innovation and climate change, as well as opportunities in the blue economy, circular economy, regenerative agriculture, and natural capital.

The theme of the Forum “For a Sustainable Future” revolved around 6 colors: Green innovation: green finance, natural capital, circular economy; Yellow innovation: regenerative agriculture, energy, smart cities; Orange innovation: art and culture; Blue innovation: blue economy, restoration of marine and freshwater ecosystems and nature tourism; Red Innovation: Impact Investing and White Innovation: Education and Civil Society Organizations.
