Al-Jazeera correspondent in Afghanistan quoted a security source today, Monday, as saying that 4 people were killed and another wounded in the detonation of an explosive device placed in a car carrying civilians north of the Afghan Capital, Kabul.

The source added to the island that the Afghan police launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident, which is the third of its kind in two days, and no party has claimed responsibility for the accident so far.

The incident came a day after another attack on a Sikh temple in Kabul that killed at least two people. The incident, which was claimed by the Islamic State group, raised international concerns about the latest wave of violence in Afghanistan.

An explosion occurred on Friday in the northern city of Kunduz, killing one person and wounding two others.

Analysts warn of the danger of violence by armed men and that it still exists, as there have been several bloody attacks in the past few months.
