Sony Pictures has released the first official Trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and frankly, this film looks incredible!

Not only do we get this new trailer, chocked full of Spidey-goodness, but we also get a new synopsis for the film:

After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

There is a ridiculous amount of things to break down from just this trailer, not to mention the things we already know, including the film will be introducing audiences to a ton of a new spider-people, including, but not limited to, the Japanese Spider-Man, Scarlet Spider, Spider-Man PS4, Spectacular Spider-Man, Spider-Man Unlimited, Spider-Byte, Superior Spider-Man, Spider-Wolf. It looks like we’ll likely be getting, at minimum, references to the live-action Spidey’s, if not full-out voiced appearances. Miguel even name-drops Earth-199999, the designation for the MCU, and references the events of No Way Home.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse swings into theaters on June 2, 2023.
