This is the Lightroom Quick Start Guide for beginners who want to learn how to use it.

Before we start, we have to figure out which version of Lightroom you’re using. And that’s because Lightroom comes in three different flavors.

Lightroom Classic will have an interface that looks like this, and then we have Lightroom with a slightly different interface, and then if you’re using Lightroom on a mobile device, you’re using Lightroom mobile.

This quick-start Lightroom tutorial series is going to focus on Lightroom Classic.

If you’re using one of the other two flavors of Lightroom, check out the playlists in the description below to discover the Lightroom tutorial quick start guides for your version of Lightroom.

This quick-start series will be divided into five small-bite-sized tutorials, and I recommend going through each in sequential order to get the most out of Lightroom Classic.

PART 1

First, we’ll start with a basic overview of Lightroom Classic, and we’ll explore the interface to discover where everything is, how to customize the interface, and more.

PART 2

After that, you’ll learn what a Catalog is and why you need it, and I’ll show you how to import your images.

PART 3

Once you import some images, you’ll learn some tips for organizing them.

PART 4

Then, you’ll learn how to edit your images.

PART 5

After that, we’ll wrap up this Lightroom Classic quick start guide with exporting your images so you can share them with the world.
