Did Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ever split up?More Papers February 08 2016 4/4.1035 4/4.1035 Source: Microsoft.com Since the end of last year you have probably heard rumors that Microsoft is developing the Surface Phone the latest news about the mysterious Surface Phone that Microsoft has registered the domain “surfacephone.com.” The sample shows a number of generic “Surface” brandings such as “surfacemouse” “surfacelaptop” “surfacecam” and even “surfacecar.” Surfacephone.com’s registration actually had little to do with any product the company is aiming for and is probably simply part of Microsoft’s effort to secure as many surface-branded domains as possible. Bless points out that while Microsoft may create a phone within the Surface Division, the recent discovery of the surfacephone.com domain that is currently redirecting to the Microsoft.com Surface landing page is “hardly evidence” that such a device is coming. Nate Swanner reports for The Next Web that the newly-discovered single URL is “the best indication yet that a Surface phone might be in the works.” That doesn’t bode well for the actual launch of a Surface Phone even though the success of Microsoft’s Surface tablet line has many Microsoft fans hoping that the company is actually planning to launch a Surface-branded smartphone in the nearby fu. It’s likely that if the smartphone is actually developing, at the company’s Build developer conference in late March we will learn more about it. Matt Hamblen analysts are anticipating a Surface Phone launch either late in 2016 or early in 2017 according to Computerworld. Many assume that although the smartphone has not been verified, it makes sense for Microsoft to develop a Surface Phone that would be accepted by Windows Phone fans ‘ limited user base as well as business users. For users who enjoy Windows on their computers or tablets a high-quality phone would be a logical extension of Microsoft’s Windows 10 strategy that enables them to access the same functionality and experience on a desktop. Marco Chiappetta writes for Forbes that the system wouldn’t be enough for Microsoft to shake the smartphone market let alone make Windows 10 a common smartphone platform, even if Microsoft does launch a Surface Phone. Unless Microsoft manages to create a Surface Phone that is substantially and undeniably better than any smartphone on the market, it is unlikely to convince many users who already use iOS or Android to turn to Windows. A minority of smartphone users is the proportion of users who are lifetime Windows Phone fans and who prefer the platform to either Google or Apple’s operating systems. The platform’s popular perception of the device difference between Microsoft’s platform and the most popular mobile operating systems, and the small selection of Windows phones available to users both keep the platform in back. And Chiappetta states that the introduction of the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL has shown that merely launching new high-end smartphones is not enough for iPhone and Android users to appeal to.
