A middle aged man in Elgeyo Marakwet is in police custody after stoning his Wife on Saturday afternoon at Biretwo Market.
Boniface Kokwon is reported to have stoned his wife to death over alleged missing business funds. At the time of the incident, the wife was at the shop and the suspect dragged him from there before stoning her to death.

According to an eye witness, Boniface stood next to the body of his wife holding a knife and a stone he used to kill his wife.
“Huyo mzee mwenye kufanya hiyo kitendo alikuwa amesimam tu hapo na alikua ameshika kisu kwa mkono na mawe yenye ndio alikuwa amelenga nayo huyo mama,” said the witness to Citizen Digital.
The body of the deceased has since been moved to Iten County referral hospital Mortuary as the suspect is set to appear before the court.
