Bishop Margaret Wanjiru of Jesus is Alive Ministries has received treatment on Wednesday after the government demolished her church in Nairobi.
Speaking after the incident, the politician accused the Kenya Kwanza regime of turning their back on her despite the numerous campaigns she had assisted them during the election period.
She continued by saying that the officers who visited the church were from Railways and that she sustained injuries on her hand and legs.

“Nimepigwa, nimeumia mkono na mguu hata nataka kwenda hospitali, watu wangu pia wamepigwa wote, everyone is bleeding,” she said. “Hawa watu wametupiga leo wanasema wametumwa na Railways.” she continued
On Wednesday, officials who identified themselves as those from DCI and NIS visited his church as captured on CCTV camera before demolitions of the building began. They are accused of roughing up those stood on their way.
“I wasn’t campaigning to be repaid like this. It is very sad that this is the government that we campaigned for,” said Wanjiru
The demolition is in line with a 2022 court case where Bishop Margaret Wanjiru challenged Kenya Railways for building a wall that will separate them and the railway. The case was however dismissed.
In response to the petition that also enjoined Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) and Kenya Urban Roads Authority, Kenya Railways claimed full ownership of the entire land where the church currently sits on.
