DCI detectives are now probing the death of a 19-year-old girl who fell from the 10th floor of an apartment in Thome Estate, Kasarani.
A CCTV footage obtained by Citizen TV captured the last moment Lawrence Gitonga and the 19-year-old girl checked in at the apartment at 3 am on Saturday holding her hand before taking the keys.
The young girl was later found dead with only a red t-shirt raising questions as to whether she was pushed off the balcony.

In a twist of events, Gitonga was found unconscious inside the apartment with stab wounds lying in a pool of his own blood. The scene had clear indication of a struggle with blood splatted on the walls as well.
According to Citizen TV, the police are now pursuing three people believed to have last been seen with the lovers. The investigation includes tracing their last moment at a club where they had drinks.
At the moment, Gitonga is receiving treatment at Uhai Neema Hospital under police protection as he is considered a prime suspect in the incident.
