Police have began probe into the mysterious death of 23-year-olf Egerton University Student in Kanduyi, Bungoma County.
Francis Pepela is reported to have met his death at night after he had gone out to watch the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Lazarus Pepela, the father to the deceased confirmed that he received news of the death of his son that it occurred after he was hit by a trailer, news that he still doubts.

He continued by saying that he had information that there was a fight at the place leading to the head injuries his son sustained.
“Some of his friends are saying that there was a scuffle at the place which caused the head injuries. We don’t know what the fight was about,” he said.
A probe into the incident has been launched and witnesses have been aligned to shed light into the death.
The news comes at a time when residents of the area have decried the increased cases of insecurity.
