Founder of Nairobi Institute of Business Studies Lizzie Wanyoike is dead

Lizzie Wanyoike, the founder of the Nairobi Institute of Business Studies (NIBS) has on Sunday passed away.

The passing away of 72-year-old founder of Emory Hotel and Lizzie Preparatory Schools was confirmed by a family member who told journalist that for sometime now she had been battling an illness.

“In loving memory of a remarkable educator. Her passion ignited minds, her kindness touched hearts. A beacon of wisdom, she left an indelible mark on countless lives, shaping futures with grace,” read the eulogy

Lizzie, a graduate of Kenyatta University with a diploma in Education first found Temple College of Secretarial Studies in Nairobi.

She later acquired a loan and together with her saving, she started NIBS which has grown with branches in Ongata Rongai, Thika Town, Nairobi Central Business District, and Ruiru-Kimbo, along Thika Highway.

Mourning Lizzie Wanyoike was CS Moses Kuria who termed her an education icon whose contribution in education will forever remain in our hearts.

“I join the rest of the country in mourning an educational icon Madam Liz Wanyoike of Nairobi Institute of Business studies (NIBS) Who has passed on today . Your contribution to the education sector will remain in our hearts forever, you were great in all ways.

Go well my sister. Our condolences to your family , the Nibs fraternity, the education sector and the nation.” he said
