Alleged fake lawyer Brian Mwenda Njagi has on Monday been released on Ksh 200,000 cash bail pending hearing of the case on 7th November 2023.
Issuing an update on the news was former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko who confirmed clearance of the bail so as to grant his release.

“Lawyer Brian Mwenda has just been granted a cash bail of 200k by the court. As promised earlier, I have already made the payment to the judiciary’s account at KCB bank via mpesa to ensure he doesn’t spend another night in prison. Mungu ni mwema.” said Sonko
Milimani Chief Magistrate Lukas Onyina noted that the prosecution team had failed to provide evidence to deny the accused bail.
Brian Mwenda who was arrested last week faces six counts including the use of false documents to illegally practice law after he was unmasked.
