The Ministry of Education has on Friday released the 2024pre-primary, primary, and secondary schools calendar.
As per the new calendar, learning in pre-primary, primary, and secondary schools will begin on January 8th, 2024, take a three day break between February 29th to March 3rd. Studies will end after 13 weeks on April 5th, 2024.
There will be a three week break after the first term comes to an end and it will run from April 8th to April 26th.

The second term will commence on on April 29th and end on August 2nd representing two weeks of learning. In between learners will take a half term break of three days between June 20th to June 23rd, 2024.
There will also be another holiday for the learners from August 5th to August 25th before they prepare themselves for the third and last term.
Unlike the first and second term, the third term will run for nine weeks from August 26th to October 25th before those sitting for their Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) and Kenya Intermediate Level Education Assessment (KILEA) examinations are assessed from from October 28th to 31st.
Candidates sitting for their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination will be assessed from November 4th to 22nd, 2024.
