Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has threatened to lead Kenyans to protest the Proposed Finance Bill 2023 which he has termed it punitive.
The ODM party leader was speaking on Wednesday after visiting Toi Market in Kibra after it was razed down by fire where he said the proposed bill will further choke Kenyans who are struggling with the high cost of living.
According to the former Prime Minister, the government should hold talks with Kenyans to deliberate on the issues in the Finance Bill instead of forcing employees and employers to pay the proposed 1.5%.

He continued by saying that the government already has many sources of collecting taxes as were the days of former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The former Prime Minister promised to push to have the IEBC servers opened as he accused Kenya Kwanza government of derailing the bipartisan talks.
