Nandi Senator Kiprotich Cherargei has emphasized that as a Senate they will not impeach embattled Siaya Deputy Governor William Oduol.
This is after the vocal Senator noted that the ongoing impeachment drive against the Deputy Governor is sickening and nauseating at the same time.

As a Senate, we shall NOT impeach DG Oduol nor confirm impeachment proceedings from the Siaya county assembly against him. This once again has confirmed Tinga as Lord of corruption, poverty, and impunity. ” said Cherargei
The news comes at a time when the ODM Party issued a statement calling on Mr. Oduol to resign from his position following his disagreement with Governor James Orengo.
According to ODM, the differences between the two leaders hinder the county from benefiting in any way thus the need for the deputy to step aside and allow Orengo to select a candidate who he can work with.
Oduol has been accused of being used by those against the party following his recent revelation of how the county irregularly spends its money.
