Kisa East MCA stabbed to death during confrontation with MP

The political fraternity is mourning the death of Kisa East MCA Stephen Maloba who was stabbed to death on Saturday following a confrontation with an MP.

The news of Maloba’s death was confirmed by Kakamega Deputy Governor Ayub Savula who was in attendance during Faruk Kibet’s thanksgiving ceremony in Malava, Kakamega County.

“We would like to stay here longer, but we can’t. Apologies for that. An MCA has just passed away in Khwisero Constituency. He was stabbed after a confrontation ensued between two camps, his and that of an MP,” said Savula

Maloba who vied and won under a KANU ticket was stabbed after supporters from the two political camps disagreed causing chaos.

Also speaking during the ceremony was Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwle who recalled times with the MCA who was to vie under UDA but later on chose KANU and won the seat.

“I was in a good mood, but that news ruined it. The young man they killed was in my house for breakfast the other day. He was to vie on UDA, but he joined KANU and won.” said Khalwale

In attendance during the event were Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
