A Court in Eldoret has sentenced a 70-year-old man to 20 years in prison for defiling a 12-year-old girl.
“A court in Eldoret has today sentenced Jefunea Situma alias Mdudu aged 70 years, to serve 20 years imprisonment for defiling a child aged 12 years.” Said ODPP
The court was informed by the prosecution that the suspect on 11th March 2020 pulled the child by force before defiling her and later threatened to kills her if she tells anyone what happened.

“The prosecution led by Jamlick Muriithi & Jairus Onkoba informed the court that on the 11th of March, 2020 at Natwana Village, Uasin Gishu, the accused defiled the victim.
The victim told the court that the accused pulled her by force, took her to his house, removed her clothes, defiled her and later threatened her not to scream otherwise he would kill her using a knife. The prosecution called 6 witnesses who testified in the matter.” Said ODPP
